Personal Data and The Dixie Grammar School Association. (DGSA)
Confidentiality is protected by the Data Protection Act and, from 25 May 2018, the
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Privacy
and Electronic Communications Regulations 2016 (PECR).
Any personal information supplied to The DGSA will be kept on file.
The DGSA will always store personal details securely and delete them once they are
no longer relevant or on request.
A record of member’s and non-member’s contact details may be kept for historical
purposes.
When filling in an Application Form it is requested that some Personal Data will
be required. This data will be used by the The DGSA for communication purposes. Communication
can be cancelled at any time by contacting the The DGSA’s Hon.Secretary.
This data will only be used to provide the service expected and will only be used
for communication as agreed. The data held will be used to send information about
the Annual Reunion, any information which may be of interest, and for communication
as and when necessary.
The DGSA will only allow this information to be used for The DGSA’s purposes and
others working on our behalf and will only share them if required to do so by law.
We will never share this information with other companies or charities for marketing
purposes.
Members have the right of access to a copy of the information The DGSA holds about
them (a Subject Access request) obtainable subject to proof of identity from The
DGSA’s Hon. Secretary.
