The Dixie Grammar School: COVID POLICY
The School has weekly Covid-19 team meetings when the risk is reviewed and measures
put in place. At each meeting the log of Lateral Flow Tests (staff & pupils) is reviewed
and actioned if necessary. Events are considered and adjusted if needed. School has
stocks of masks, shields, tubs of wipes and hand sanitiser and has extra cleaning
in place. The use of one-way systems has been employed. As the new term begins,
regular review will inform what needs to be implemented. The website has a whole
section on Covid related health and safety which can be found from this link to Covid-19

The key points are:
Visitors should refrain from visiting if:
• They have travelled from or transited through any of the countries of areas
that are currently on ‘lockdown’ in the past 14 days
• They have developed a fever (above 37.8C) or a new, continuous cough in the
last 7 days
• Anyone in their household is required to self-isolate in accordance with Government
guidelines
Along with all members of the Dixie community, any visitors to school should:
• Wash their hands with soap and water before leaving home and once they arrive
at Dixie.
• Use gel sanitiser - available on arrival and throughout your visit.
Social distancing is now a matter of personal choice.
